Dianne Davis

Apr 17, 1956 – Sep 9, 2012

Racine – Dianne Davis, 56, received the promise of eternal life on Sunday, September 9, 2012.  She was born in East St. Louis, IL, on April 17, 1956, daughter of the late Samuel McGee, Sr. and Ammie Lee (nee: Williams) McGee.

Dianne graduated from East St. Louis Senior High School in East St. Louis, IL, in 1974.  She was raised in the church and taught Sunday school in her younger days.  She loved oldies music, barbecuing, and cooking.  She enjoyed having a good time and treasured her family and friends who will miss her dearly.

Dianne leaves to cherish her memory, her sons, Melvin Lewis of Racine, Renice (Melissa) Davis, Jr., Effrem Davis, both of Salem, OR; former husband, Renice Davis, Sr. of California; brothers and sisters, Gary McGee of Chicago, IL, Dennis “Uncle Pookie” McGee of Racine, Michael McGee of Racine, Danny McGee of Waukegan, IL, Mary Ann Jones of Belleville, IL, Faye McGee of Racine, Belinda McGee of Kenosha, Brenda McGee of Racine; very special friends, Ryan Landvatter, Martha; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.  In addition to her father, Dianne is preceded in death by her brothers, Samuel McGee, Jr. and Marvin McGee.

A Homegoing service will be celebrated on Monday, September 17, 2012, 11am, at Changing Lives Ministries, 1840 Howe Street, with Pastor Frank James officiating.  Visitation will be from 9am until the time of the service.  Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery.
