
Elizabeth “Betty” Jean Lewis, 82, passed away at WFH All Saints hospital on Sunday, September 30, 2012. She was born in Meridian, Mississippi on March 19, 1930, daughter of the late Robert and Margaret Louise (nee: Sullivan) Kidd.
Betty’s life was centered on her faith and her family. She was affectionately called “Nana Banana” by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. Betty also enjoyed completing crossword puzzles, playing bingo, and caring for her parakeets.
She is survived by her daughters, Debbie (Jackie) Lord of Madison, GA, Theresa Rumbaugh of Racine, Donna Kalik of Portland, OR, Linda (Leroy) Goldbourne of Grand Caymen, and Lisa Morelli of Rossville, GA; her former son-in-law John Rumbaugh of Racine; 10 grandchildren, Michael Malcolm, Debbie (Mike) Mace, Tina Sahlbach, Celia (Scott) Piper, Ryan Small, Julie Deloach-Blackman, Andrew Kalik, Sandy Kalik, Leroy Goldbourne Jr., and Katherine Morelli; 6 great-grandchildren, Nathan, Tyler, Mary, Nicholas, Angela, and Joshua. She was also preceded in death by her son-in-law Vinnie Morelli.
All are invited to visit and share memories with the family in the funeral home on Thursday, October 4, 2012 from 5pm – 7pm. Memorials to the Special Olympics have been suggested.
