Ketra LeShea Larry

Oct 8, 1976 – Oct 2, 2012

Ketra LeShea Larry, “Shea Shea” as she was affectionately called by all who knew and loved her, departed this life on October 2, 2012 at the age of 35.  She was born in Racine, WI on October 7, 1976 to the union of George W. and Earlene (nee: Cunningham) Larry,  Ketra accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age and was united with Greater Mount Eagle Baptist Church where she served as a youth usher and sang in the youth choir.  Shea Shea was a graduate of J.I. Case High School and was pursuing a degree in the medical field at Everest College in Milwaukee, while also working for the Racine Journal Times.  Shea Shea was a people person who truly valued her relationship with dear friends and family.  Ketra was the proud mother of four beautiful children Carontae, Dizhanae, Mikaela and Jontavion, the time she spent with them will forever be deeply treasured in her heart.   Shea Shea was a loving soul who enjoyed spending time with her family.  She leaves to cherish her memories, her children: Carontae, Dizhanae , Mikaela Klyce and Jontavion Larry all of Racine.  Her loving mother; Earlene Larry, sister; Danielle Larry, sister-in-law; Jacqueline Larry, brother; L. Sherrod Larry, four nieces, five nephews, five uncles, two aunts and a host of other loving relatives and friends.  Ketra was preceded in death by her father; George W. Larry, brother; Miketrye S. Larry, Grandparents; Willie and Gertrude Cunningham, Willie L. and Lucille(nee: Williams) Larry, three uncles, three aunts and one cousin.  The family would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Tierney, Dr. Johnson and the entire staff of the Wheaton Franciscan All Saints NICU. 

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 8, 2012, 11AM at Greater Mt. Eagle MBC, 929 State St.  Visitation will be 9-11AM at the church.  Please see Sunday’s newspaper for her full obituary.

I would like to thank Mike Langendorf, Bill Althaus and the rest of the staff for the wonderful celebration of the life for my father Raymond L. Szymanski who was a WWII veteran. I especially appreciate how much you really listen and the questions you asked regarding who my father was and what he was all about. Those details showed up in every part of the service from the flowers, the music, the thank you’s, pictures, obituary, outdoor military honors, etc. etc. My father would have been so grateful for the way you honored his life. I also received phone calls from family and friends indicating how beautiful the service was in every way. You and your staff definitely go above and beyond.
