Frances Ruth LaMantia

Oct 31, 1920 – Nov 20, 2012

   Kenosha– Frances Ruth (nee: Bauer) LaMantia, age 92, passed away at Brookside Care Center on Tuesday, November 20, 2012.  

Franceswas born in Kenosha on October 31, 1920. She was the daughter of the late Otto C. and Frances M. (nee: Moeller) Bauer. On October 12, 1940 she was united in marriage to Joseph LaMantia. He passed away May 1, 2006. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, and worked on many committees and church gatherings.  

She is survived by her children, Joseph Mark (Theresa) LaMantia of Sidney, OH and Joan Mallmann of Stillwater, MN; grandchildren, Douglas (Dr. Sheirlie) LaMantia of Lancaster, WI; Lauren (nee: Mallmann) Laliberte of Shoreview, MN; and Alicia (nee: Mallmann) Larson of Prior Lake, MN; and three great-grandchildren, Nolan and Mathew LaMantia; and Hanna Lynn Larson. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Bauer.  

In accordance with her wishes, a Memorial Service will be held at First Baptist Church (3700 – 47th Avenue in Kenosha) on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at 10 am to recognize her love of family and celebrate her life. Visitation will begin at 9 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the First Baptist Church or the charity of your choice have been kindly suggested.
