Perry Michael O'Brien

Oct 8, 1959 – Dec 15, 2012

Perry M. O’Brien, 53, passed away unexpectedly in the WFH-All Saints Emergency Room, on Saturday, December 15, 2012. He was born in Butzbach, Germany on October 8, 1959, the son of Duane and Joan “Kelly” (nee: Gill) O’Brien.

Perry was a 1977 graduate of St. Catherine’s High School. On April 18, 1987, Perry married the love of his life, the former Linda Chernouski.  For the past eleven years Perry has been employed by Chartwells at Horlick High School. Previous to that, Perry was employed for several years at Buckets Pub. Perry enjoyed fishing, shooting pool and golfing. His greatest love was spending time with his family.

Surviving are his beloved wife, Linda; their devoted daughter, Nicole O’Brien, his adoring granddaughter, Alana Klyce, all at home; mother, Joan “Kelly” Wells, of Spring Hill, FL, father, Duane (Dorothy) O’Brien, of Merrill, WI; grandmother, Frances O’Brien, of Racine; brother, Glen   O'Brien “OB” of Racine; and sister, Susan (Tim Deal) O’Brien, of Spring Hill, FL; mother-in-law, Mary (James) Murphy, of Viera, FL and step mother-in-law RuthAnn Chernouski, of Caledonia. Perry's nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and a host of friends also survive him. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Herbert O’Brien, father-in-law James Chernouski, step-father William “Billy” Wells, and brother-in-law, James “Butch” Chernouski.

A celebration of Perry’s life will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, December 27th, at 6:00 p.m., with Rev. Mark R. Jones officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Thursday, December 27th from 3:30 p.m. until the time of the service. Cremation will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate memorials to the family to establish an educational fund for the granddaughter he idolized, Alana.
