
Racine – Betty Jane Johnson, 77, passed away at WFH-All Saints Hospital on Wednesday, December 19, 2012. She was born in Chippewa County on August 12, 1935, daughter of the late Lyle and Bernice (nee: York) Stage. Most of her life she had lived in Racine.
Betty Jane worked many years at Ruud Lighting, and was most recently employed at Society’s Assets. She enjoyed sewing and crafts, and had an appreciation for all of God’s creatures. Betty Jane was a member of Timber Wolf Preservation Society.
She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Lyle and Sandy Gilbert of Cornell, Michael Zweifel of Sturtevant, and Robert Zweifel of Racine; grandchildren, Randy Fray, Lisa Gilbert, and Jennifer Gilbert; as well as other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Gilbert; her brothers Kenny and Frank, and her sister Avis.
Complete services will be held in the funeral home on Friday, December 28, 2012. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.
