
Racine – Rosemary Therese Iggulden, 89, received the promise of eternal life on Tuesday, February 5, 2013. She was born in Racine on May 24, 1923, daughter of the late Albert Charles and Gertrude Lucy (nee: Schmahl) Iggulden.
Rosie was educated at Holy Name School and St. Catherine’s High School. Rosie was an L.P.N. from 1955 to 1985 at St. Mary’s Hospital. She was a lifetime member of St. Richard of Chichester Catholic Church (formerly Holy Name). Rosie was a generous and caring person that centered her life around helping people. She loved traveling and took many trips to religious sites located in Ireland, Rome, Europe, Canada, just to name a few. She loved reading books and treasured the time spent with her family. Rosie will be dearly missed.
Rosie leaves to cherish her memory, her brothers, Charles (Janet) Iggulden, Michael (Marsha) Iggulden, both of Racine; nieces, Pat (Jim) Herbert, Kathy Pettys, Julie (Paul) Moderson, Jennie (Burts) Compton, Michelle (Slade) Smith, Nicole (George) Gilbert; nephews, Chris Jeffrey, Roy (Emily) Iggulden; special friends, Rose Ricchio, Betty Zinnen, and other relatives and dear friends too numerous to mention. In addition to her parents, Rosie is preceded in death by her sisters, Sr. Patricia Iggulden, Shirley Jeffrey; nieces, Sharon Iggulden, Amy Huber; nephew, Jim Jeffrey; and brother-in-law, Dr. S.J. Jeffrey.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 8, 2013, 10:30am, at St. Richard of Chichester Catholic Church, 1509 Grand Avenue, with Rev. Ronald O. Crewe officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30am until the time of the service. Private interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery on a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorials to St. Catherine’s High School or St. Monica’s Senior Citizens Home.
The family would like to extend a heart-felt “Thank You” to St. Monica’s, Lincoln Village, and Wheaton Franciscan Hospital – All Saints for the love and care that they gave to Rosie during her time of need.
