Beulah B. Thompson

Aug 17, 1935 – Mar 10, 2013

Racine- Beulah B. Thompson, age 77, passed away peacefully at Wheaton Franciscan – All Saints Medical Center on Sunday evening, March 10, 2013.  

Beulah was born in Clay County, Mississippi on August 17, 1935 to Rosie A. (nee: Spraggins) King and the late Andersen Henley. In October of 1954, she was united in marriage with the love of her life, Charles Robert Thompson.  

With a profound Christian faith, Beulah was a proud member of Greater Mt. Eagle Missionary Baptist Church. During her working career, she was employed by Moxness Products, from where she retired. Beulah enjoyed watching sports – especially basketball. Above all, she loved and cherished being in the surroundings of her entire family.  

Surviving are her beloved mother, Rosie A. King; loving husband, Charles; daughter-in-law, Mary A. Campbell-Henley; step-daughter, Ruthy (Marian) Windham; grandchildren, Danyell Hollimon, Philip D. Henley, Godfrey (Tara) Campbell and Nichole Williams; great-grandchildren, Amya Henley and Issac Hollimon; brother, John Patterson; brother-in-law, Wilbert (Rolelie) Thompson; special cousin, Mabel Ann Robinson; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  

Beulah was preceded in death by her son, Darnell Henley on February 16, 2010; and grandson, Dwane Henley on April 27, 2004.  

A Homegoing Celebration will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at 11:00 am in Greater Mt. Eagle Missionary Baptist Church, 929 State Street, with Rev. Keith T. Evans officiating. Interment will follow in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be in the church on Tuesday from 10-11 am.
