Marguerite Otto

Marguerite E. Otto, 92, passed away in the Aurora St. Luke South Shore Medical Center on Monday, April 8, 2013. She was born in Racine on November 14, 1920 the daughter of the late Jesse and Ella (nee: Seybold) Lund.

Mrs. Otto was a graduate of Washington Park High School. She was employed as an accountant by Rexnord for many years. She was united in marriage to Harvey Otto, who preceded her in death in May of 1987.

Mrs. Otto was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church, the Wednesday Optimist Club, the Racine Country Club, the Racine Humane Society, and volunteered for many other groups. Mrs. Otto was a great lover of cats.

Surviving are her brother, Vilas “Bud” (Joan Langendorf) Lund, of Racine, nephews, Steve Lund, of Racine, Mark (Darcy) Lund, of Seattle, WA, and Tony (Phyllis) Kombol. of Kannapolis, NC, nieces, Nancy Combs, of Racine, and Susan (Chris) Smith, in WY, great nieces and nephews, and her longtime friend and companion, Edmund Kollmann. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Otto was preceded in death by her sisters, Helen Kombol, and Beatrice Hartaugh.

Her funeral service will be held in ATONEMENT LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2915 Wright Ave., on Friday, April 12th, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Warren Williams officiating. Visitation will be in the CHURCH,on Friday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery. The family has suggested memorials to Atonement Lutheran Church.
