Dennis Everett Olsen, Jr.

May 4, 1971 – May 5, 2013

Kenosha –Dennis E. Olsen, Jr.; age 42; a resident of Kenosha; passed away unexpectedly, as the result of a motorcycle accident on 75th Street, on Sunday evening, May 5, 2013.

Dennis was born in Kenosha on May 4, 1971. Dennis began his lifelong career, at age 18, in the solid waste industry. Dennis was currently employed by Veolia ES for the past 15 years.  On April 17, 2004 he was united in marriage with Candice Mae (nee: Sulli).

Dennis was passionate about motorcycles – especially fixing, restoring, and, of course, riding in the open air. He enjoyed fishing and spending time on the Wolf River in Fremont, WI; and was a Green Bay Packer fan. More than anything else, Dennis loved caring, providing and being in the surroundings of his family and friends.

Surviving are his loving wife, Candice M. (nee: Sulli) Olsen; children, Heather Jennings; Brian, Avery & Devin Olsen; mother, Sandra (nee: Walker) Nelson; grandmother; Margaret Walker; step-mother, Louise Olsen; sisters, Jennifer Olsen-McFadden and Shirlene Lambert; brother, Donavon Olsen; mother-in-law, Kathy (Richard) Vekeroff; father-in-law, Daniel Kleinschmidt; sister-in-law, Lisa Sulli; brother-in-law, Mike Sulli; many nieces, nephews and cousins; lifelong friends; Richard Hoskins, Jeremy DeMoe, Frank Noto and many other special friends.

Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Dennis Olsen, Sr.; grandparents, Everett and Shirley Gramkow; and John Walker; sister, Tamara Olsen; and brother-in-law, William Lambert.

Funeral services will be held in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at 11:00 am. Procession, with motorcycles, will follow to Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Monday from 6-8 pm and on Tuesday from 10-11 am. In memory of Dennis, contributions to the Olsen family have been suggested – for the education of his children.

Testimonials

October 22, 2015

My husband, Tom, died on Jan. 24, 2015. From that life-changing day and still now, Gary and his sons have been at my side taking care of me, advising me, and guiding me with their sensitive, caring, and efficient expertise. I have heard from friends and family how perfect and wonderful the funeral service was (it was a blur for me), and I have the beautiful obit, memorial booklets, CD rom of slide show, celebration candle, portrait, and even personalized thank you cards to provide memories and comfort during difficult days ahead. My heart is full of thanks and appreciation to Gary Langendorf and his entire family.
