Jan 23, 1956 – May 21, 2013

Racine – Thomas Michael Lenz, 57, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, May 21, 2013.

Tom was born in Racine on January 23, 1956 to Dr. Donald and Audrey (nee: Svoboda) Lenz. A 1974 graduate of St. Catherine's High School, he went on to attend both the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Parkside earning a double major in Chemistry and Mathematics where Tom earned the Analytic Chemistry Student of the Year award.

A published author, he also wrote and performed his own computer program for Cephalometric Radiograph Analysis for Dr. Mark D. Lenz. As a teenager Tom attained the rank of Eagle Scout and was selected for the Badger State Boys State golf team. Golf was his passion, he also had an extensive collection of books in his library, enjoyed and excelled at gardening and landscaping, weight lifting and was a true fan to the Wisconsin Badgers and Green Bay Packers. Above all Tom cherished his time spent with the entire family.

Tom was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Donald Lenz; brother-in-law, Dr. Mike Richter; and uncles, Wayne Svoboda, Robert Lenz and Wayne Lenz.

A private Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday, May 24, 2013 at St. Edward Catholic Church. Interment followed in West Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials of Tom to St. Catherine's High School or St. Edwards's Parish.

Testimonials

October 22, 2015

Dear Gary, You and your staff are really special people. I and my family felt so blessed that all of the funeral arrangements were in your thorough and caring hands. One helpful meeting and then you took care of all the arrangements – and we knew we need not worry about one thing.

Dee Jensen
