
Racine – Cleveland Donell Poole, age 54, beloved husband of Paula (nee: Sibley) Poole, passed away on Monday, June 2, 2014 at Wheaton Franciscan – All Saints Hospital.
He was born in Laurel, MS on September 14, 1959 to the late Willie and Virginia (nee: McCarty) Poole. After receiving his high school diploma in 1978, Cleveland was employed as a professional truck driver for BMW Trucking in Bristol until his retirement in 2007. He was united in marriage to Paula (nee: Sibley, Jones) Poole on January 18, 1992 – six beautiful children were included in this blessed union. With a profound Christian faith, Cleveland was a faithful member of New Omega Baptist Church where he was currently serving as a Deacon (in-training). Cleve enjoyed fishing, playing cards, dominoes and spending time with his family. Above all, Cleveland loved being a “Granddaddy”.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories….loving and dedicated wife, Paula Poole; children, LaShunda Poole, Brittany Poole, Yolanda Sibley, Genefer Cannon, Jason Jones and Mark Jones (Tawanna), all of Racine; 20 grandchildren, Kamari Wright, Travaris Williams; Rashawn, Titonaro & Terryon Bumpus; Keyaun Johnson, Jerry (Azhanae) Cannon III, Danny “DJ” Spurgeon; Justin and Jalen Jones; Elijah Jones and Mark Jones; Tadrean and Darquis Fleming; Ashley and Aleysha Cannon; Markayla and Markia Jones; Jaellah, Victoria and Brianna Jones; great-grandson, Jaiden Cannon; sisters, Flora Ferrell (Fred Morris), Yvonne Klyce; Glenda, Lillie and Elmira Poole; Jeanette (Jerry, Sr.) Ferrell, all of Racine; Celia Poole of Salvage, MN; and Deborah Clark of Laurel, MS; brothers, Willie (Trish) Poole, Gressie Poole, David Clark, all of Racine; and Victor Clark of Laurel, MS; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Morra Bieronski of Chicago, IL; Sherry (Rueben) Betts of Las Vegas, NV; Ouida Neasley of Greensville, S.C.; John Sibley of Savannah, GA; James Sibley of Milwaukee; and Edward (Gina) Sibley of Kuwait; 24 nieces (special niece, Michelle Poole); 39 great-nieces & nephews; God-Sons, Lamondre Williams and Dawayne Evans; aunt, Patricia Hollaway of California; great-aunt, Dorothy Harris of Newton, MS; special friends, Billy McFarland, Stacy Allen, Michael Coleman, Gerald House, Vincent Cannon and Michael Stewart; many other dear relatives and friends – too numerous to mention all by name.
A Service of Homegoing will be celebrated on Monday, June 9, 2014 at 11:00 am in New Omega Baptist Church, 5731 Northwestern Avenue. A reception will follow. Viewing will be in the church on Monday from 10-11 am. In accordance with Cleveland’s wishes, cremation will follow the services.
