Zella Jeannette Williams

Apr 26, 1951 – Feb 28, 2015

Zella Jeannette Williams, 63, was called Home by her Loving Savior on Saturday, February 28, 2015. She was born in Kalamazoo, MI on April 26, 1951 the daughter of Clara Bridgeman and Charles Burnett.
   

She received her education at the Kalamazoo Central High School. Jeannette accepted Christ at an early age. She was a member of the Midtown Church of Christ. On September 15, 1973, here in Racine, she was united in holy matrimony to Eddie Williams. She was a certified nursing assistant until she decided to become a foster parent. Jeannette dedicated her life to providing a home to numerous children in need.
    

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Eddie; their children, Chenita (Jermaine) Scaife, Amanda Stroud, Patrick Williams, Andres Williams, and Ieka (Timothy Akins) Williams; 14 grandchildren; mother, Clara Bridgeman; father, Charles (Carolynn) Burnette; sister, Patricia Pannell; the Burnett brothers and sister, Charles, Jon, Lee, and Jody; sister-in-law, Myra Williams; special friends, Regina Stephens, and Yvonne Smith. A host of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive her. Jeannette was preceded in death by her grandparents, Rosie Baker, Erie and Margaret Harris;
aunts, Edna Burnett, Beverly Harris, Brenda Harris, Kay Harris, Delores McConnell, and Doreen McKay; and by her uncle, Lawrence Harris.
   

Her Homegoing Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 6th, in St. Paul MBC, 1123 Grand Ave. Visitation will be in the church on Friday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park.
