Daniel Lee Struebing

Jan 23, 1938 – Jul 1, 2016

RACINE – Mr. Daniel L. Struebing, 78, passed away at WFH – All Saints on Friday, July 1, 2016.

A lifelong resident of Racine, he was born on January 23, 1938, the son of the late Clarence and Alice (nee: Peterson) Struebing.  On November 13, 1959, he married Nancy Carol Soule.

Daniel worked as an independent truck driver for many years.  He attended First Evangelical Free Church and enjoyed watching the Packers, bowling, golfing and camping.  However, he was happiest when he was in the company of family.  He will be dearly missed by all those that loved him.

In addition to his loving wife, Nancy, he is survived by his sons and daughters, Christopher Struebing, Gail (Joseph) Machalik both of Racine, Daniel (Barb) Struebing of Burlington, Lynn (John) Avitabile of Longanville, GA and Jay Struebing of Racine; his grandchildren, Samantha, Charlotte, Adrian and Daniel Machalik, Maria Gerardo, Tyler Struebing, Jacob (Rosa), Joseph (Maggie), Leah, Alicia, and John Mark Avitabile; his great grandson, Maximus Thomas; his sister, Bonnie (John) Hindenburg of Hoffman Estates; his sister-in-law, Penny Soule of Burlington; his brother-in-law, Brian (Sue) Soule of Neenah; as well as dear nieces and nephews.  He was also preceded in death by his brother, Roy (Hannalora) Struebing.

Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Thursday, July 7, 2016 for a visitation from 4-6 p.m.   A service celebrating his life will follow at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. John Bodnar officiating.  A private interment will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers memorials have been suggested to the Salvation Army.

A heartfelt thank you to the entire staff at WFH – All Saints for the compassionate and professional attention the entire family received while Daniel was under their care.
