Service Details

Her Homegoing Service will be held in the funeral home on Monday, July 22nd, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Frank James officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home on July 22nd from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery.

 

Shirley Ann Thomas-Strege, 62, was called Home by her Loving Savior on Thursday, July 11, 2019. She was born in Racine on September 16, 1956 the daughter of the late Lee Crosby and Lizzie Ella (nee: Andrews) Thomas Sr.

Shirley received her college degree and was employed by Costco until her illness forced her retirement. She enjoyed roller-skating and making jewelry. Surviving are her two children, Andre (Alicia) Thomas, of Como, MS, and Renee (Dennis James) Thomas-James of Racine; eight grandchildren, Shaynnah Thomas, Elexia Mack, Xavier James, Xandria James, Imauni James, Andre Thomas Jr., Lashay Thomas, Jeremiah Berry; one brother and eight sisters; Lee Thomas Jr., of Racine, Frances (Haves) McNeal, of Naperville, IL, Sharlene Thomas, Tina Thomas, Sandra Korzilius, JoAnne (Henry) Manning, and April Thomas, all of Racine, Leinnette Thomas, of North Miami, FL, and Darlene (Charley) Winters, of Milwaukee. Shirley is further survived by her nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    My sisters and I use to work with Shirley at A&E mfg yrs ago. She would come to family get togethers also especially wrestling nights. We was part of the family. I am so sorry to hear of her passing my heart and prayers go out to her family. Jane ( Delvaux ) Toscano
