Racine, WI. – Willie Lee Ramsey Sr., 67, entered into eternal life on November 28, 2020. He was born on January 21, 1953 in Oxford, Mississippi, to the late Henderson Sr. and Mandy (nee: Gatheren) Ramsey. Willie moved to Wisconsin where he attended J.I. Case High School and graduated in 1971. He began his career as a machinist at American Motors Corporation, where he remained gainfully employed for 36 years until he retired in 2009.

In 1974, Willie married the love of his life, Frances (nee: Martin) Ramsey. In his early years he loved to play pool, traveling, playing chess, and spending time with his family. Accepting Christ early in life, he was a member of Shiloh Stronghold C.O.G.I.C. where he served as a deacon, Sunday school teacher and superintendent. In 2010, he became an ordained assistant pastor where he served under the late Apostle G.F. Ramsey and current Apostle Elias Ramsey.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories of 46 years, his wife Frances Ramsey, his four “Golden Girls” Natasha (William) Grandberry, Bridgette (Patrick) Ramseur, Gloria Martin and Ja’Vetta Martin all of Racine, WI; nine grandchildren DiQuan of Texas, DaKeidrick, DeShon, Willie Lee Ramsey III, Daezaneji, Tracy, Daeveyon, Patrick Jr, and Kai all of Racine, WI; four great-grandchildren, three brothers Henderson (Ann) Ramsey of Tennessee, L.C. (Dawn) Ramsey of Mississppi, and James Ramsey of Racine, WI; one sister Ernestine Ramsey of Racine, WI; two sisters-in-law Evelyn Ramsey of Mississippi and Betty Ramsey of Racine, WI; special family friends Pastor Anthony Jones, Loniki Jackson, Tracy Young, and his Gateway Family.

Willie was preceded in death by both of his parents; four brothers Murphy, Walter, Johnnie and Apostle G.F. Ramsey; five sisters Molene, Mae Lou, Flora Lee, Mae Emma, and Vivian Ramsey; in-laws Curtis (Lellar) Martin, sister-in-law, Reatha Ramsey, and other brothers and sisters-in-law. Also preceding him in death his son Willie Lee Ramsey Jr. and one grandson Demetri Martin.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the hard-working medical team at Ascension All Saints for the great care of our husband, father, and grandfather. The family would also like to thank everyone for their calls, texts, thoughts and prayers and hospitality during this time of bereavement.

May God Bless all of you.

A Celebration of His Life will be held on Friday, December 11, 2020 11:00am in the chapel of Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home, 4600 County Line Rd., Racine, WI. Visitation will be in the chapel from 9:00am until the time of service. Interment will take place in Graceland Cemetery. Please see the funeral home website at a later date for his full obituary.
