Harold Lloyd Schwartz, 94, received the promise of eternal life on Friday, December 3, 2021.  He was born in Menominee, MI, on April 12, 1927, son of the late Otto and Nancy (née: Wickman) Schwartz.

Harold proudly and faithfully served his country in the United States Navy from 1944 to 1946.  He worked as a truck driver for Johnson Wax until his retirement in January 1984.  Harold was an avid deer hunter and loved hunting at his property in Porterfield.  He enjoyed trout fishing up north as well. Above all, Harold was a family man and loved spending time with the family, especially the grandchildren.

Harold leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of over 67 years, Anita Schwartz; son, Harold R. Schwartz; daughter, Nancy (Steve Surendonk) Wildes; grandchildren, Eric (Katie) Schwartz, Katie (Michael) Jonsson, Lewis (Katie) Schwartz; Kirk (Melissa Weitz) Wildes, Sarah Wildes; great-grandchildren, Hunter Schwartz, Harper Schwartz, Adeline Schwartz, Josephine Jonsson, Michael Jonsson, Shane Macemon, Haylee Macemon, Violet Wildes; and sister, Evelyn Schwartz.

In addition to his parents, Harold is preceded in death by his son, Edward Schwartz; brother, Robert (Carol) Schwartz; sister, Elaine Schwartz; and daughter-in-law, Joann Schwartz.

Testimonials

April 3, 2025

I wanted to personally thank the Draeger – Langendorf Family for the wonderful support and work they provided during my families time of grief when my sister Vanessa Davis Perry passed away in August of 2021. I also would like to thank Leslie Scales who personally assisted with the details of the service & worked with my family for it to turn out as planned.
