MOUNT PLEASANT – Mr. Frank C. Knotek, 94, died at AccentCare Hospice in Oak Creek on Thursday, October 27, 2022.

He was born in Racine on January 6, 1928, the son of the late Cyrill and Josephine (nee Mostek) Knotek.  Frank served his country with the US Air Force from 1948-50 where he participated in the Berlin Airlift.  Many called it the greatest humanitarian effort of it’s time.

On June 6, 1953, he married Audrey Joan Kobal.   She preceded him in death on August 2, 2019.

Frank retired from Eaton Dynamatic where he worked as a Production Planner for 33 years.  He was baptized as a Jehovah’s Witness at the age of 76.  He was a member of the Meadowbrook Congregation in Racine, Wisconsin.  Frank loved to spend his free time working in his yard.  He especially enjoyed creating a garden in the back yard for his son Neil to grow his own tomatoes and peppers.

He is survived by his sons, Paul (Mary) Knotek of Mount Pleasant, Stephan (Sheryl) Knotek, Sr., of St. Paul, MN and Neil Scott Knotek of Mount Pleasant; his grandchildren, Hannah (Jose), Jacob, Brooke (Tucker) and Stephan, Jr.; his great grandchildren, Mason, Logan, and Simon; his brother and sister, Charlie and Rose Knotek, his brother-in-law, Robert (Evelyn) Kobal of Caledonia; as well as many nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents and wife, Frank was preceded in death by his dear son, David Knotek, who passed away in a car accident in 1976.

Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory on Saturday, November 12, 2022, for a time to meet with his family from 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.  A memorial service will follow at 4:00 p.m.   A private interment took place at Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum.

Testimonials

January 26, 2024

Special thanks to Mike Langendorf….many tears of joy overwhelm the family. You are a very unique person.  I cry because you know how to make the best out of any situation. You lay my husband away beautifully and there are not words that I can really express how grateful I am. All the people at your funeral have my gratitude for the love and care you showed us.   You all are truly God fearing people who care about people.  Thanks and may God bless you all richly!   The Coleman’s
