Homegoing Service for Byron will be held in Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 11:00AM with Dr. Charles C. Jones, Officiant. Visitation will be held in the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00AM until the time of service.
Hi, My name is Byron Keith Riley. I was born June 15th, 1969, in Racine, Wisconsin to Wilma King and the late Leon Riley.
I received my formal education in the Racine Unified School District. I accepted Christ at an early age in which I was baptized and became a member of Greater Mount Eagle Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Reverend Charles E. Thornhill.
I was employed at JRS Distribution Co. for many years before my health began to decline. In my freetime, I would play dominos with my friends and family. You could catch me at any mall shopping, listening to music, and watching my beloved New Orleans Saints.
I departed this life on April 9th, 2024, in Racine, Wisconsin at Ascension All Saints Hospital surrounded by my loving, supportive family. I was preceded in death by my father; Leon Riley, son; Andre Riley, sisters; Deborah Riley and Lois Howze, brothers; Derwin King, Eric Riley, and Charles Robertson, and a few other loved ones (too many to name).
I leave to cherish my memories: My loving mother, Wilma King. My bonus father, Lonnie Ferrell. My devoted endless companion, Artesia Ward. My children; Edward Ward, Devone McWhorter, Alicia Ward, and Jermaine Riley. My siblings; Kaundlen Anderson, Cathanetia Riley, Gwendolyn Riley, and Donnie Harris. My grandchildren; Ameria Sillas, Brandon Hood Jr., Syncere Hood, August Hood, and Loyal Hood. My extended family; Roberta Robertson and Ronald (Miranda) Robertson. My auntie, Mary V. Hattix. Host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many, many friends (too many to name).
