Remembering fondly many Christmas Eves with Uncle Bob and his roast beef.
Uncle Bob insisted that frosted Santa cookies – only Santa! – were the only true Christmas cookies. So my mom and I would make a tray of Santa cookies just for him. RIP.

Thursday nights will never be the same without walking into Mike and Angelos and seeing Bob jump off of his end bar stool with his arms outreached to give me a hug and whisper, “Oh, I love you”! Or, “You smell good”! He was a sunny, bright and joyful addition to many of us regulars. He was loved by all of us.
I truly believe a small plaque with his name “Bobby” is in order for the back of that stool he so loved. My younger brother was in the National Guards with him and they both told me many fun stories. My Brother, Rich Carls, called him “Bags”. God love him always. Rest in peace eternally, my friend!
