Terry Zioncheck (née Schabbel), age 70, of Mount Pleasant, WI—formerly of South Haven, MI—was called home to her Savior on July 11, 2025, joining the Saints Triumphant in eternal rest.
Born on December 17, 1954, in South Haven, MI, Terry was the beloved daughter of Arnold H. Schabbel and Adele C. (Texter) Schabbel. Baptized into membership of St Paul Lutheran Church of South Haven. She graduated from LC Moore High School in 1973 and later married James Zioncheck in Bangor, MI, on June 18, 1977. Terry was a long-time member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Bangor, MI, where she volunteered as the church secretary for many years, was active in School Friends, Altar Guild, and Ladies Guild. Professionally, Terry worked as a bookkeeper for Du-Wel for several years before leaving to raise her family and support her husband in the family business at Zioncheck Machine. She was later employed at Hope Equipment until the business closed. After becoming an empty-nester, she and James returned to the Schabbel family farmstead in South Haven, where she found joy in home and heritage. In her later years, she and James relocated to Mount Pleasant, WI, to be closer to her daughters’ care.
Terry is survived by her loving husband, James Zioncheck of South Haven, MI; her sister Jeanne (Jeff) Allen of Portage, MI; her daughters Jamie (Shaun) Arndt of Sun Prairie, WI, and Amanda (Joshua) Quint of Mount Pleasant, WI; her nephew Jeff (Stacey) Shinabarger of Battle Creek, MI; her niece Joy Peterson of Salt Lake City, UT; and her grandsons Isaiah and Daniel Arndt, and Raymond, Zachary, and Lucas Quint.
In the presence of her Savior, Terry now rests in perfect peace—free from sorrow, free from pain, and held in the everlasting arms of grace. Her earthly trials have given way to perfect heavenly joy.
“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain, because the former things have passed away.” — Revelation 21:4
