Robert A. Scoon

Jul 20, 1937 – Sep 28, 2025

Robert A. Scoon, age 88, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.

Born on July 20, 1937, in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Robert lived a full and vibrant life rooted in family, friendship, and a love for the simple joys of everyday living. Over the years, he cultivated deep connections with those around him and was known as a loving father and grandfather and a friend to all of his neighbors.

Robert is survived by his four sons: Michael (Catherine), Robert (Jeanne), Thomas (Gussie), and James (Jackie); his step-daughter Chris (Jeff); twelve grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and one nephew. His legacy lives on through this large and loving family who will carry forward the warmth and wisdom he shared with them. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Thelma; his sister Marty and brother-in-law Dean; his nephew Scott; and his beloved longtime partner Judy Pitz along with her cherished son Christian Pitz.

Robert had a passion for gardening that brought beauty to his surroundings and joy to those who visited. He also found delight in auctions and antiquing—pursuits that reflected his appreciation for history and craftsmanship. At one time in his life, he enjoyed being a private pilot, embracing the freedom of the skies with enthusiasm.

Above all else, Robert treasured time spent with family. Whether gathered for celebrations or quiet moments together, these times were among his most valued.

My family and I would like to thank you and your staff for all the kindness and sincere expressions of sympathy that you extended to us during the loss of my son, Todd Swanson. We appreciate all the extra special things you did to help us through this very difficult time. We didn’t have to think ahead, we just had to be there while every little detail was taken care of by you and your staff. This made an impression on everyone that came, and I will never forget it. Thank you from all of us.
