Judith Carol Minor

May 10, 1948 – Mar 17, 2025

Memorial Suggestions

A memorial service for Judith will be held at a later date, reflecting her cherished life and celebrating the memories shared by family and friends.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Judith Carol Minor, age 76, who departed this life peacefully on March 17, 2025. Born on May 10, 1948, in Racine, Judith cherished her roots in the community that shaped her into the remarkable woman she became.

Judith found joy in the simple pleasures of life. An avid reader, she immersed herself in the worlds crafted by her favorite authors, including Stephen King, Dean Koontz, and John Sanford. Each book she read added vibrant pages to the story of her life, invoking imagination and wonder. In her quiet moments, she enjoyed crocheting and hand-beading, creating beautiful pieces that reflected her rich creativity and love for artistry. Judith had a particular fondness for collecting owl statues, each one a symbol of wisdom and mystery that adorned her home.

A passionate supporter of the arts, Judith held season tickets to the Racine Theater Guild. She embraced the thrill of live performances, her laughter and applause a testament to her love for storytelling in all its forms.

Judith’s life was a tapestry of kindness, creativity, and passion, woven together with her love of literature, art, and family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, her spirit echoing in the hearts of those she touched.

Judith leaves to cherish her memory her beloved daughter, Renae Rock, who will carry forward her spirit and memories; grandchildren, Angelina (Robert Napier) Rock, Erika Rock; siblings, Donald (Suechen) Smith, Janice (Darrel) Smith, Susan Rockhill, Dick (Karen) Smith, Darlene (Robert) McGrath, Linda (Robert) Gonzalez, Duane (Pam) Smith; sisters-in-law, Exu Smith, Cathy Smith; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends too numerous to mention.

Judith is preceded in death by her parents, Dennis and Joyce (nee: Brandt) Smith; son, Michael Minor; brothers, Dennis Smith, David Smith; and sisters, Sandra Davis and Marge Emmerling.

A memorial service for Judith will be held at a later date, reflecting her cherished life and celebrating the memories shared by family and friends.

In our sorrow, we find solace in the many stories woven into her life. Judith Carol Minor will be remembered not just for her love of books and art but as a devoted mother and a beautiful soul whose spirit will forever shine brightly among us.

Judi and I were friends for over 70 years and spent our childhoods on 93rd Street playing, laughing, studying, riding bikes, and dreaming of our futures. We walked to school together every day. I was in her wedding. She was a special part of my life and I have really great memories of our times together. She chose to be. Baptized as a young adult at Holy Communion Lutheran church. She will be missed by many…
