Franksville – Patricia Marie Finn, age 83, passed away suddenly, yet peacefully, early Monday, February 3, 2025 at Aurora Hospital – Mount Pleasant, with her loving daughter by her side.

Patricia was born in Racine on July 28, 1941 to the late Joseph and Dolores (nee: Grabowich) Kaisler. She attended Washington Park High School. On May 21, 1960 at First Reformed Church, she was united in marriage with the love of her life, Thomas Edward Finn. Married for almost 65 years she lovingly, cared for him at home and in 2023 at Lincoln Village until he passed away just two months ago on November 22, 2024.  The two of them loved spending all of their time together, they shared everything together, and remained devoted to one another up until the very end.

For many years, Pat served as the head cook for the students of Gifford Junior High School and then JI Case High School, jobs she really enjoyed.  Her favorite accomplishment in life was being a devoted mom and then the honor of being a loving grandmother, a vocation she absolutely loved. She dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She loved having the grands and great grands over for sleep overs, movie nights, special lunches, shopping trips and camping trips.  She was always bragging about the grandkids and great grandkids and loved having them visit.  Patsy became known to everyone and all the children as “Grandma Pat”.

Some of Pat’s interests that she will be remembered for were her love of family – hardly ever missing any of her daughters activities, grandchildren’s events or concerts no matter how far away they were; camping, bowling, and gardening; cooking, entertaining & hosting parties; always looked forward to holidays – especially Christmas & St. Patrick’s Day; was a lifetime fan of Elvis Presley; and Pat never forgot to acknowledge anyone’s birthday or anniversary.  Everyone looked forward to the singing telegram on their birthday.  Pat loved to sew and began sewing at a very young age.  She made her own clothing and her children’s clothes and her square dance dresses.  Pat worked tirelessly with her daughter’s dance school making many costumes over the years, she even performed numerous times in the recitals that her daughter had at The Dance Company, she was a great tap dancer!  Pat and Tom were avid dancers from their teenage years as part of the Twirling Teens Square Dance Club and into their adult life. She loved to cook and took great pride in having holiday get togethers at her home.  She loved to travel with her husband and even traveled out of the country numerous times with her daughter, making friends everywhere she went. She was such a kind, caring and loving person.  She left lasting impressions everywhere she went and became part of everyone’s village.

Surviving are her daughter, Joanne Marie Finn;  grandchildren, Thomas “TJ” Finn, Jordan Finn, Jenna Schatzman (Austin Neave), Jacob Schatzman, and James Finn Kincaid,; great-grandchildren, Zoey, Hallie & Damien Finn, Joshua & Dean Finn, Lotus & Arlo Neave; sister Cindy (Lyndy) McClure; brother, Dennis Kaisler; sister-in-law Norrine (Ken Block) Kaisler-Block; sister-in-law, Kay Rowland; brother-in-law, James (Linda) Finn; and the most wonderful and dedicated “bonus family” Pat, Phyliss, Marissa, Abby Johnson and Melodie Hobbie; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Joseph & Dolores Kaisler and her beloved husband, Tom…..Pat was preceded in death by her brother, Jerome Kaisler; god-son, Douglas Kaiser; sister-in-law, Mary Kaisler; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Daniel & Stormy Finn and Bruce Rowland; and by Tom’s parents, James & Joyce Finn; and daughter, Debra Kincaid.

Services celebrating Pat’s life will be held in Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 12:00 noon with Pastor Paul Ficken officiating. Visitation with the family will be in the funeral home on Saturday, February 22nd, from 10:00 am – 12:00 noon.

A heartfelt note of thanks and gratitude to the wonderful staff at the Aurora Hospital – Mount Pleasant for the compassionate care and support given in Pat’s time of need including Speech Therapist Molly S, Nurses: Jessica S, Amanda M, Melissa J, Becky D., Abril M and Doctor Prahl.  All of them not only took excellent care of Pat; but supported and helped the family through this most difficult time.  A special thank you to Dr. Nicholas Pryomski at Aurora Health Care for years of care and understanding.  People always referred to Patsy as a “spitfire”, and they were not wrong.  She will be greatly missed.  May God bless all of you!

Testimonials

October 22, 2015

Mike,
Words cannot adequately convey our gratitude for all you did to honor our family member and friend, Mert Fleury. Like with her husband Ray, years ago, you and your staff went above and beyond to help us through this difficult time and to give Mert a wonderful celebration of her life. Every detail was considered, all of our requests were given unfailing attention, and the little extras took our breath away. Every sad feeling and every tear was matched two-fold with feelings of gratitude and comfort because of what you did. We will be forever grateful!
The Fleury Family

David Fleury
