Tam Thi Tran

Service Details

Viewing will be held at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Friday, April 18th, from 2:00 – 3:00 pm. A service remembering Tam will follow at 3:00 pm. In accordance with Tam’s wishes, cremation will take place after the service. The family will gather privately at Tam’s favorite restaurant to conclude the evening.

Kenosha- Tam Thi Tran, age 88, passed away peacefully, surrounded with the love of family, on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at Aurora Medical Center in Kenosha.

Tam was born in Vietnam on January 20, 1937 to Vinh Quang Tran and Tuyen Thi Tran. She married Bang Van Phung in Vietnam before immigrating to the United States in the 1990’s. She was an amazing, loving and tireless wife, mother and grandmother that put all of her family’s needs before her own. They were her everything. Tam could often be found cooking, gardening, feeding the birds and watching her favorite videos on her tablet.

Surviving are children, Hoat (Oanh) Phung, Jackie Phung, Van Phung, Hai Phung, Oanh (Phu) Phung, Ngoc (Duke) Phung, and Tuan (Thuy) Phung; grandchildren, Michael and Nicholas Phung, Minh Nguyen, Mari-Ann (Sean) & Molinna (Samantha-Jane) Bui, Jo-Ann & Emily Dao, Aiden & Phuong Phung, Paxian & Mavin Nguyen, and Nova Phung.

Tam was preceded in death by her parents, Vinh Quang Tran and Tuyen Thi Tran; and husband, Bang Van Phung in May of 2000.

Viewing will be held at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Friday, April 18th, from 2:00 – 3:00 pm. A service remembering Tam will follow at 3:00 pm.
