Following, she was employed by Wheaton Franciscan – All Saints for over 18 years before working at several local nursing homes, retiring in 2010. She was a kind and gentle soul who always gave her everything to ease the suffering of others. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and best-friend who will be sorely missed by all. Alice was also a courageous Breast Cancer survivor.

Alicewas preceded in death by her husband, soul-mate and “other half”, Jerry L. Conley, earlier this year.

Surviving are her children, Douglas (Catherine) Hay, Sherrie (Scott) Proft, Kathleen (Dean) Berget, Craig Conley and William Hay; beloved grandchildren, Rebecca Crouse, Heather (Cory) Brown, Colton Proft, Hunter Proft, Wyatt Proft, Daniel Hay, Joseph Berget and William Berget; other dear relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 10 am. Interment will follow in Green Ridge Cemetery – Kenosha. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Saturday from 9-10 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Alice’s family have been suggested.

Special thanks to Mike Langendorf….many tears of joy overwhelm the family. You are a very unique person.  I cry because you know how to make the best out of any situation. You lay my husband away beautifully and there are not words that I can really express how grateful I am. All the people at your funeral have my gratitude for the love and care you showed us.   You all are truly God fearing people who care about people.  Thanks and may God bless you all richly!   The Coleman’s
