Wisconsin Dells – Alice M. Muntinga, formerly of Racine passed away at St. Clare Hospice House in Baraboo on Friday, May 11, 2012. She was born in Racine on November 7, 1928, daughter of the late Milan and Elizabeth (nee: Roseinski) Georgeff.

Alice was a 1947 graduate of St. Catherine’s High School. On June 14, 1952 she was united in holy matrimony to Donald Muntinga in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.

After High School Alice worked at Borden Dairy, before meeting Don and falling in love. They were blessed with one son, Kevin, who was the apple of her eye. Alice loved flower gardening and caring for her family and special Boxer “Duke”. In 1994 Alice and Don moved to Reedsburg to be closer to Kevin and Sue, Michael and Tommy. After Don’s passing in 2010 Alice moved in with Kevin and Sue and was cared for by them until she became very ill. Alice had 2 very special new pets Molly and Scooby, who kept her under constant watch.

Alice is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Kevin and Sue Muntinga of Wisconsin Dells; grandchildren, Erin (Christopher) Wolfe of  Redmond, Oregon, Michael (Shana Tourdot) Muntinga of LaValle, and Thomas Muntinga of Wisconsin Dells; great-grandchildren, Cory and Karsen Wolfe, Caden, Jaxon, and Kenlee Muntinga; and sister, Marianne Zinga of Arlington Hts. Illinois; as well as other relatives and dear friends. She was also preceded in death by her infant grandsons Robert and Ryan Muntinga.

Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 with Rev. Mark R. Jones officiating. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Caledonia. Visitation will begin in the funeral home at 12 noon. Memorials to Diabetes Association have been suggested.
