Anne Jeanette Peck

Apr 15, 1921 – Mar 11, 2010

Racine – Anne Jeanette Peck, 88, passed away at WFH All Saints Hospital on Thursday, March 11, 2010. She was born in Clarksburg, West Virginia on April 15, 1921, daughter of the late Salvatore and Mary Rose (nee: Tricocci) Marano. She moved to Racine at an early age, attended Racine schools, and graduated from secretarial school. On October 17, 1950 she was united in marriage to William (Bill) A. Peck., who preceded her in death on October 27, 1986. Anne was employed at Oster Manufacturing and Johnson Wax as a secretary until leaving work to raise her family. Anne spent over 30 years volunteering and working at St. Edward’s school in the cafeteria and as the school’s baker, retiring in 1998. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her large family and many friends and expressed her appreciation to others with gifts of home cooking. Anne was a longtime member of St. Edward’s Catholic Church. She is survived by her sons, William (Dawn) Peck of Montreal, and David (Debbie) Peck of Waterford; and granddaughter, Sarah (Matt) Buckta of Racine; sisters, Sara Coffey Orland Park, Illinois, Virginia (Richard) De Rose, and Josephine Just both of Racine; brothers, Louis (Joan) Marano of Racine, and Salvatore (Josephine) Marano of Florence, Oregon; sisters-in-law, Mary Marano in California, Jeanne Marano in Indiana, Ann Swanson, and Angie Marano both of Racine; as well as special god child Mary Rose Mole. She is further survived by numerous nephews and nieces, especially, Donna Mascio, Sherry Trentadue Forman, Judy Morano, Sue Turner and Bill Greer; and long-time friend Mardell Ferg. Anne was also preceded by her sisters and brothers, Catherine (Joe) Marr, Mary Irene Anneca, Anthony (Sally) Marano, John Marano, Domineck “Bud” Marano and Frank Marano; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, James Coffey, Elmer Just,Mary (Arthur) Greer, Margaret (Paul) Douglas, and Dorothy (William) Westburg. The funeral mass for Anne will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at St. Edward’s Catholic Church with Rev. Richard J. Molter officiating. Entombment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. There will be a visitation in the church beginning at 10 a.m.
