
Annie Ruth Earl, 65, passed away at WFH All Saints Hospital on Thursday, November 11, 2010. She was born in Tupelo, Mississippi on September 4, 1945, daughter of Eddie Lee and Bernice (nee: Jones) Lockridge. She was a Racine resident for most of her life.
Annie’s biggest thrill came from being with her family that she loved so much. She was proud of her children, and delighted in caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and was anticipating the births of 4 new great-grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and caring for others. Annie was always on the go, and loved playing softball . Annie retired from AMC/Chrysler with over 36 years of service. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.
Annie leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters, Geneva (Stephen) Askew of Racine, Annie V. (Damon Ford) Menifield of Appleton, Dorothy (Samuel Mitchell) Earl of Kankakee, Illinois, and Octavia (Quentin Williams) Earl of Racine; her fiancé, Charles Trotter of Kankakee; twenty-one grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Eddie Roy (Ethel) Lockridge, Rev. Jimmie (Claretha) Lockridge, Elizabeth Lewis, Betty Moral, Merle Monroe, and Earl Monroe; her dear aunt, Mary Peavy;special cousin John Kidd, her four step kids Samuel , Isaiah, Sakiya and Kayla; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Samuel Howard Earl; three grandchildren; and 2 great-nephews.
Homegoing services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 with her brother, Rev. Jimmie Lockridge officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Burial will take place after the service at Graceland cemetery.
