
Racine – Arnold George Bollom, 63, affectionately known as “Arnie”, passed away on April 5, 2013, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Cornell, WI, on June 14, 1949, son of Norman Lee and Elberta (nee: Hetke) Bollom. He was united in marriage to the former Lynn Paolocci on February 14, 1981.
Arnie graduated from Horlick High School in 1967. He was a millwright for many years eventually retiring from Grede Foundries, Inc. in Milwaukee. Arnie was an avid Packer fan and enjoyed playing golf with his friends. He especially enjoyed sharpening his skills by playing Golden Tee in the arcade. Arnie enjoyed vacationing with Lynn and the family in Cozumel, Mexico. He loved having backyard parties and grilling out for any occasion or just for the heck of it. Above all, Arnie was a true family man and cherished every minute spent with his family, especially his grandkids.
Arnie leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of over 32 years, Lynn Bollom of Racine; children, Amy Jo (Oscar Naranjo) Kennedy of Racine, A.J. (Julie Gross) Bollom of Racine, Robert (Cindy) Eichhorn of Kenosha, Candi (Brian) Matthews of Racine; grandchildren, Khristal (Ryan Arndt) Greenhalgh, Donald Greenhalgh, Jr., Kaitlynn Eichhorn, Dylan Eichhorn, Morgan Eichhorn, Mason Eichhorn, Marissa Aiello, Nicholas Aiello, Makynna “Kenna” Matthews; mother, Elberta Bollom of Racine; sisters, Roxanne (Art) Lieske, Gail Maier, Brenda (Paul) Lehman; sisters-in-law, Leslie (John) Paulson, Lori (Steve) Glowacki, Lane (Shannon) Paolocci; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends too numerous to mention. Arnie is preceded in death by his father, Norman Bollom; brother, Gary Bollom; parents-in-law, Joseph (Virginia) Paolocci; and brother-in-law, Lance Paolocci.
A celebration of Arnie’s life will take place on Friday, April 12, 2013, 12:30pm, at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory, 4600 County Line Road. Visitation will be from 10:30am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Memorials have been suggested to Lynn Bollom for a memorial to be established on a later date.
