Service Details
His Homegoing Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. in the Compassion Tabernacle United Church of America, 2054 Mead Street, on Friday, July 11th. Visitation will be in the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

Arthur “June Bug” Taylor Jr., 68, of Racine, was called Home by his Loving Savior on Thursday, July 3, 2025. He was born in Gary, Indiana, on April 22, 1957, the son of the late Arthur and Cora Lee (nee: Jones) Taylor.
Arthur was a graduate of Roosevelt High School, Gary, Indiana, Class of ’76. He originally had been employed by US Steel. Later, he was a longtime Certified Diesel Mechanic for De Kalb County for the State of Georgia. On July 20, 2013, in Indianapolis, In, he was united in marriage to Doreatha Azelea Beecher.
Arthur was a member of Compassion Tabernacle United Church of America under the leadership of Pastor John Smith. He enjoyed working on cars and growing plants in his garden.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Doreatha; his two sons, Antwoine (Angela) Taylor, and Dandre Taylor, all of Atlanta, GA; Doreatha’s children, Tachelle I. Price, of Dallas, TX, and Curtis D. Colvin, of Indianapolis, IN, four grandchildren, Anesia Taylor, Anyla Taylor, Amari Taylor, and Lyric Taylor, Doreatha’s grandchildren, Taivone McIntyre, and Allemagne Price; brothers and sisters, Derwin Taylor, of Racine, Ola Hall, of Atlanta, GA, Lloyd (Katrina) Taylor, Thembeline (Terrance) Barthel, all of Racine, Jacqueline Wilson, of Kenosha, Don Juan Taylor, of Porter, IN, and Tawjuan (Aisha) Taylor, of Kenosha.
Arthur is also survived by his nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. In addition to his parents, Arthur was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law June Genovia and William Congious.

My brother-in-law was a very nice and friendly person. He was a jack of all trade. He was a great cook, and a good mechanic. My nephews are the same way. Best grillers in the family! We shared so many sweet memories together from Gary, IN-Atlanta, GA. Junebug will be missed so RIP brother-in-law.
