
Brian D. Berger, 41, passed away very unexpectedly at home on Thursday, December 17, 2009. He was born in Racine on June 16, 1968, the son of Arnold and Darlene (nee: Bignell) Berger. Brian attended Case High School. On March 14, 1992 he was united in holy matrimony to Alicia Marie Gordon in St. Lucy Catholic Church.
Brian had been employed at Marquette University for the past eight years. He formerly worked at Ruud Lighting, and Acme Die Casting. He was a huge baseball fan, and especially loved the Chicago Cubs. He also enjoyed watching wrestling matches on TV. He was well known as the greatest outdoor cook, and could put on a heck of a Bar-B-Que! Brian also liked boating and fishing, country music, and being with family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife, Alicia; his children, Andrew, Andrea, and Bradley all of Racine; his mother, Darlene Berger of Holmen; brother, Jeff (Dawn) Berger of Holman; Sisters, Marsha (Mike) Warren of Racine, and Karen (Chris) Risch of East Troy; mother-in-law, Dorothy Gordon of Racine; brothers-in-law, Dennis (Wanda) Gordon in Virginia, Michael Gordon and Eugene Gordon both of Racine; sisters-in-law, Patricia Peasley of New Lisbon, and Sherri Gordon of Racine; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Arnold Berger; father-in-law, Eliphalet Gordon; and sister-in-law, Susan Spinato.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at St. Lucy Catholic Church, 3101 Drexel Avenue, with Rev. Mark R. Jones officiating. Private interment will be held at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be in the funeral home Monday evening from 5p.m. – 7p.m., and in the church on Tuesday beginning at 10 a.m.
