Candace “Candy” (Johnson) Annette Grubich, 78, passed away on Friday, November, 21, 2025 at home surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with breast cancer.
Candy along with her twin sister, Cynthia (Cindy) were born in Milwaukee on January 8, 1947, to Elmer and Elmyra (Streich) Johnson. She was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Randolph Johnson on May 3, 1969, at St. Veronica’s Catholic Church in Milwaukee. Bob preceded her in death on October 20, 2023.
Candy is survived by her children Carrie Bosanec (Aaron Grant) of Racine and Robert “Rob” Johnson (Lauren) Grubich of Libertyville, IL and one grandson Robert Joseph Grubich. Candy is further by her brothers-in-law Jon “Scott” Grubich of Waxahachie, TX and Wade William Grubich of Sheboygan County, WI.
In addition to her parents and her twin sister, she was preceded in death by her older sister Susan Koehler and in-laws Robert Casmir and Alice Grubich.
Carrie and Rob want to extend their deepest gratitude to team at the Froedtert Breast Cancer Center including Dr. Yee Chung Cheng, Maressa Sweeney, PA, Pharmacist Rachel S., and all the nurses who’ve treated Candy since her diagnosis in 2012. Thank you to the team at St. Croix hospice for all the support they provided Candy and the family.
