RACINE – Mr. Carl E. Brommer, 96, passed away at WFH – All Saints on Saturday, February 21, 2015.

He was born in Urne, WI on January 26, 1919 to the late Wilhelm and Marie (nee: Johnson) Brommer.    Carl retired as a machinist with Racine Hydraulics in 1984 after 20 years of service.  He was a loving and kind man that had a wonderful sense of humor, a warm smile and a quick wit.  He will be dearly missed by those that loved him.

In addition to his wife, Cora, Carl is survived by his daughter, Debbie (Jim) Edwards; his son, Joel (Terrie) Brommer; son-in-law, Tilmon “Tim” Williams all of Racine; his 5 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; his brother-in-law, Ernest Steinke of Gilmantown, WI; as well as many dear nieces and nephews.  He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Sheila Williams and 9 brothers and sisters.

A private service will be held in the spring and an interment will take place in the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

Testimonials

October 22, 2015

Mike and the staff went above and beyond during our very difficult time with passing of our Opa. Mike helped relieve the immense stress by being extremely professional, paying attention to the smallest details and the overall kindness and compassion in caring for our family at our time of need. We do not believe that a thank you truly covers our deep gratitude towards you. Thank you for everything you have done for us.
