Racine (formerly of Kenosha)- Christopher A. May, 53, passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, March 14, 2011.
Christopher was born in Kenosha on February 22, 1958 to the late Merle and Noreen (nee: Cosgrove) May. He graduated from St. Mary’s Grade School, St. Joseph’s High School, and eventually from College of Lake County – with a degree in pipe-fitting.
Chris was employed as a pipe-fitter for Abbott Laboratories for over 23 years. Among his interests, he enjoyed playing his guitar, fishing, reading, home repairs, and was a talented custom frame builder.
Surviving are his wife, Joanie (nee: Judeika) May; their son, William “Will” May; brothers, Paul (Cathy) May and Mike (Lynn) May; sisters, Laura May-Buhler, Mary (Tony) Efinger, and Kathleen May; sister-in-law, Julie (Frank) Bindelli; 8 nieces, and 5 nephews.
In addition to his parents, Chris was preceded in death by his infant sisters, Denise and Sheila May.
A Memorial Service celebrating Chris’ life will be held in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Monday, March 21, 2011 at 7:00 pm with Rev. Jeffrey M. Thielen officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Monday from 5-7 pm. Private interment will take place at a later date. As Chris would want, in lieu of flowers, contributions to the family for an education fund for his son, William May, has been suggested.

Even though I haven.t seen Chris for a few years, I will always remember the crazy things we did as kids. He always had a great sense of humor, and cared greatly for his friends. God bless, and see you all on Monday.
