
Mrs. Classye V. Rogers, 84, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2012 at WFH – All Saints.
Classye was born in Blue Springs, MS on June 17, 1927 and moved to Racine in 1953. She was a loving and caring mother who will be sadly missed.
Classye is survived by her children, Marcella Rogers, Melvin Rogers, Tracy Rogers, Gloria Rogers and Eric Rogers all of Racine, Sherry Pierce and Janice Griffin of Milwaukee, and Dennis Rogers of Memphis, TN. She is further survived by her sisters, Mickie (nee: Hall) Ewing of Belden, MS, Gracie (nee: Hall) Gardner of Memphis, TN., Elaine Hall of Rosedale, NY, Elizabeth Hall of Brooklyn, NY, Sally Metcalf of Toledo, OH; as well as a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Classye was preceded in death by her parents, Sylvester and Senie Wade Hall; her husband, Charles N. Rogers and two daughters, Gerry Mosley and Linda Rogers.
Family and friends are invited to meet at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Monday, May 7, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. for the celebration of Classye’s life and Homegoing. Her interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery. There will be a visitation in the funeral home on Monday from 10-11 a.m.
