Mr. Claude W. Troeger, 84, passed away at Ridgewood Care Center on Friday, May 18, 2012.

He was born in Chillicothe, MO on September 14, 1927, the son of the late Carl and Claudia (nee: Harvey, Files) Troeger.  After graduating from high school, he served his nation with the U.S. Navy.

Mr. Troeger retired from JI Case after 43 years of service.  He was a member of the UAW – Local 180 and the Case 20 Year Club.  After his retirement he volunteered for the Red Cross and St. Luke’s Hospital.  He enjoyed his free time on the golf course, on the bowling lanes or in the pool at Razor Sharp.

In addition to his loving wife, Dorothy, his survivors include his daughters, Cheryl Albrecht of Seattle, WA., Judy (Steve) Renish of Nekoosa, WI; six grandchildren, Mike (Katie) Robertson, Dan (Nicole) Robertson, Greg (Joani) Robertson, Jeff (Tina) Robertson , Amanda (Justin) Potts, Josh (Janelle) Albrecht; 13 great grandchildren and his brother-in-law, Billy (Jackie) Daniel of Missouri.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Ralph and Maude Daniel and brothers-in-law, Floyd and Clayton Daniel.

Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. for the celebration and remembrance of Claude’s life with Hospice Alliance chaplain, Terry Peterson officiating.  His interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.  There will be a visitation in the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:30 -11:30 a.m.   In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorials to either the V.F.W. or to a charity of one’s choice.

A very special thank you to Dr. Howard Short for the many years of care and friendship he provided to Claude.  Your professionalism and skill is truly appreciated.

    Claude,

    I cherish knowing you.
You have taught me how to be a better man.
You always do right by your family and it shows in how truly loving & caring they are.
Lord knows your Troeger ladies can be quite a handful. Thanks for sharing ’em with me.

I love you Grandpa! I was praying during your final hours that you would be clinging to Jesus as your only hope in life and in death.
“Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in me will live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die.'”
    (John 11:25-26)
“My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness” (The Solid Rock, 1834 Hymn)

Testimonials

October 22, 2015

We would like to personally thank Brian for what a warm, compassionate funeral you arranged. You always put our thoughts first and answered and responded to my many phone calls about everything. The artistry of the belongings of our son was amazing. Everything was so beautiful. So many people complimented on how the arrangement was set up by you. We as a family will never forget what you did for us in our time of need. Thank you very much Brian.
