Clayton Earl Boldus

vet
Nov 11, 1926 – May 31, 2013

Gilman, WI – Clayton Earl Boldus, 86, received his wings on Friday, May 31, 2013.  He was born in Racine on November 11, 1926, son of the late Bernard and Lillian (nee: Stephan) Boldus.  He was honored into eternal life by his late wife, Dorothy (1928 – 1998); daughter, Shelley Heffel (1959-2012); along with his parents and brother, Russell Boldus.

Clayton was united in marriage to the love of his life, the former Dorothy M. Gallagher, on October 23, 1959.  He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps.  Clayton was an inspector for J.I. Case for over 30 years until his retirement.  He loved the outdoors as he was an avid fisherman and enjoyed going camping with his family.  Clayton leaves behind special memories with the woodworking projects he had so much enjoyed making for his family and friends.  He also enjoyed playing cribbage with his friends, and listening to old time music.  Clayton was a family man and treasured the moments he spent with his family.

Clayton leaves to cherish his special memories, his children, Brenda (Earl) Robbins, Bryan (Vicki) Boldus, Keith (Mary) Boldus, Robin (Russell) Paddock, Yvonne (Doug) McCaffery, Dennis Heffel; 16 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday, June 6, 2013, 1:00pm, at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory, 4600 County Line Road, with Rev. Mark R. Jones officiating.  Visitation will be from 11:00am until the time of the service.  Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.

The family would like to thank the staff of Gilman Care Center (Gilman, WI) for the love and care given to our father over the past four years.

Testimonials

October 9, 2020

I would like to thank Mike Langendorf, Bill Althaus and the rest of the staff for the wonderful celebration of the life for my father Raymond L. Szymanski who was a WWII veteran. I especially appreciate how much you really listen and the questions you asked regarding who my father was and what he was all about. Those details showed up in every part of the service from the flowers, the music, the thank you’s, pictures, obituary, outdoor military honors, etc. etc. My father would have been so grateful for the way you honored his life. I also received phone calls from family and friends indicating how beautiful the service was in every way. You and your staff definitely go above and beyond. You treat everyone like family and your compassion is so genuine. There should be more people in the world just like all of you. No words can express our gratitude for all you have done for myself, my father and our family. Thank you so very much and may the Lord bless you and yours! Sincerely Terri Carls and the Szymanski Family
