Clinton Ray McNeil

Dec 25, 1952 – Aug 27, 2009

Clinton Ray McNeil, 56, passed away at his residence on Thursday, August 27, 2009 surrounded by family. He was born in Memphis, Tennessee on December 25, 1952 to Curtis and Augusta (nee: Jurnett) McNeil. He was a lifelong Racine resident.

Clinton worked at Racine Railroad Products as a painter for many years. He enjoyed fishing, playing dominos, and watching The Animal Planet. He was a great fan of Tiger Woods and loved watching him play whenever he could. Clinton was most proud of his children and his grandchildren, and was looking forward to the birth of his 18th grandchild.

He is survived by his children, Rolanda Barry, Cornell McNeil, Quentin Jones, Jason McNeil, Dominique McNeil, Sydnie McNeil, and Alexis McNeil; step-daughter, Kelly Gray; 17 grandchildren; his father, Curtis McNeil; brothers, Steve McNeil, Jerry (Jocelyn) McNeil, Johnnie (Patricia) McNeil; sister, Telveda McNeil. He is also survived by Carla McNeil, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Augusta McNeil; and his brother, Robert Jurnett, grandmothers, Laura Swift and Minnie McDabe.

Homegoing Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at Searching Together Missionary Baptist Church (825 21st Street) with Rev. Willie Riley officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will begin in the church at 9:00 a.m.

The McNeil family wishes to thank all of the caregivers who assisted Clinton and our family, especially the staff at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare, and Odyssey Hospice
