
RACINE – Mrs. Cora D. Freeze, 82, passed away following a stroke on Monday morning, September 10, 2012 at Becker Shoop Center.
Cora was born in Michigan on April 10, 1930 but resided in Racine for over 50 years. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and dog grooming. However, Cora was happiest when in the company of her family.
Cora will be remembered and missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her children, Terry (Char Ellis) Freeze of Sturtevant, Shirley (Robert) Busarow of Mount Pleasant, Vickie (Norm) Harman of Union Grove; her grandchildren, Rob Freeze, John (Rona) Freeze, Rick (Melissa) Freeze, Troy Christensen, Heather (Thomas) Gustin, Jesus Rivera, Angie (Scott Moherek) Christensen, Jenifer Albert, Jason (Lisa) Albert, Jamie Albert all of the Racine area; her great grandchildren, Salina Christensen, Ryan Gustin, Michael Gustin, Savanah Gustin, Tressa Anderson, Justin Shaffer, Gabriel Albert, Kayla Albert, Casey Albert, Courtney Albert, Hevyn Albert, Jonathon Albert, Alexandra Feest, Austin Feest, Mason Albert, Mariah Shelton, Jaden Vanness, Andrew Freeze, Claire Freeze; her sisters and brothers, Pete (Elena) Silva, Doris (Tony) Costello, Helen Costello all of Michigan; as well as numerous nieces , nephews and dear friends she has known and worked with in the past 50 years. Cora was preceded in death by her loving husband, Orrin S. Freeze; her siblings, Mary L. Rodriguez, Kay Rios, Ray Silva and brother-in-law, George Costello.
Family and friends are invited to gather at the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 3:30 p.m. for a service celebrating Cora’s life. There will be a visitation in the funeral home on Saturday from 1:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. Her interment will take place at noon on Monday in West Lawn Memorial Park. For those wishing to attend the interment, please meet at the West Lawn entrance shortly before noon.
The family would like to extend a heart-felt thanks to the wonderful staff and CNA’s at Becker Shoop Center and Allay Hospice for their compassionate care of our mother. Cora had a lot of friends there that she had worked with in the past. She also made new friends including, Sarah Lucas, Mini Dumas, Mae Bell Johnson; as well as her nurses, Tenna Gardner, Belinda Ramirez, Jennifer Rowlands, Kara Larson and all others that came into her life.
