Cynthia Ann (nee: Barber) Lakeman, age 45, received the promise of eternal life on Saturday, February 23, 2013. We were blessed with her on August 9, 1967 in Flora, Mississippi.
Cynthia was a successful entrepreneur, as the owner of “Cynthia’s Beauty Supply” where she greeted everyone with her contagious smile. She was also the queen of Karaoke and enjoyed playing the harmonica. Cynthia never met a stranger. She was a loving and caring person to all who knew her. Cynthia put many hours into her business, customers and friends, but her passion was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, they all were the sparkle in their “Granny’s” eyes.
Left to cherish her loving memories are her Mother, Linda Lowery ; Father, Sherman Barber of Racine; Daughters, Denesha and Delestine Davis of Minnesota; Sons, Brandon Herron, Deston Davis,
and JaQuan Davis all of Racine; Grandchildren, Javion, Braniyah, Micheal III, Jamier, Brandon Jr., MaKahi, Dariyah, Journee, Ja'Khyree, and Alannah; Sisters, Phyllis Barber of Racine, Gizale and Sharon Walton of Illinois, Latoya Barber of Minnesota and Jackie Barber of California; Brothers, Sherman (Angie) Barber of Racine, Wili Allen of Racine, Luke Carter of Yazoo City, MS, Harry Walton Jr. of Illinois; and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends too numerous to mention by name. Cynthia was preceded in death by her Daughter Destiny Davis, Paternal Father Harry Walton Sr., Grandparents Henry (Ida) Stuckey, and Brother Terry Barber.
