Cynthia S. Jackson, 61, was called Home by her Loving Savior on Monday, March 7, 2022. She was born in Sikeston, MO on March 23, 1960, the daughter of the late Willie and Willie Mae (Walker) West. Mrs. Jackson had been a longtime employee of the Southern Wisconsin Center for over 35 years. She was a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. Jackson enjoyed gardening, working in her yard,  taking long walks with her dogs, Rosa, Chloe, and Kobe Jackson, who were the loves of her life. She enjoyed shopping at Goodwill and 7 Mile Fair, going to the movies, eating Lays Potato Chips and drinking  Coca Cola.  Cynthia was obsessed with her natural hair and was proud of her luscious Afro. Surviving are her two children, Jillian Rodriguez, and Andre Knighton; six grandchildren, La’Zhaun West, La’Sadiez West, Ja’Lena Rodriguez, Ja’Len Rodriguez, Raheim Love, and Aiden Thiel, her siblings, Raymond (Mary) West, Ella Brown, Alvin (Jimmie Ann) West, and Barbara West; sister-in-law, Classie West; and her former husband General Dwight Jackson, her BFF and great-niece, Na’Riyah West. Several close and dear friends, Gloria Matin-Jackson, DeeDee Jones, Eljay Helm, Kinte Scott, Wendell Evans, Robert Phipps, and Aaron Andrews. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends also survive her. In addition to her parents, Willie and Willie Mae West, she was preceded in death by her brother, Bill West, and her nieces and nephews, Toni West, Henry Brown, Donna West, and Troy West; and by her great nephew, Ty’Rese West.
