Racine – Daril Lee Possing, 63, passed away in Milwaukee at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center on Monday, March 15, 2010. On March 8, 1968 in Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Daril was united in marriage with Bonnie J. (nee: Jahn). Daril founded Cham-Tap on Durand Avenue in 1981, where he treasured the many friendships established over the years. Outside of being at his bar, Daril enjoyed golfing, watching the Packers and travelling – especially to Arkansas. Born with a friendly disposition, he loved socializing and being in the surroundings of all his family and friends. Surviving are his wife, Bonnie; daughters, Carrine (Ron) Fenkl and Kelli (Dave) Lepow; grandchildren, Brooke and Ryan Fenkl; Morgan and Michael Lepow; Megan Hetland and Tyler Possing; great-granddaughter, Addison Binion; identical twin brother, Denis (Linda) Possing; brother, David (Kathy) Possing; aunt, Sophie McDonough; brother-in-law, Bill (Lina) Jahn; sisters-in-law, Beth (Dave) Giacinti and Teri (Ron) Matera; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, customers and friends too numerous to mention by name. In addition to his parents, Daril was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Corrine Possing-Mohr; and by Bonnie’s parents, William and Beverly Jahn. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 22, 2010 in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral at 12:00 noon with Pastor David Possing officiating. Private interment, with military honors, will be held at the S. WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Daril’s family in the funeral home on Monday from 10 am – 12 noon. A special note of thanks to all the staff at Zablocki VA Medical Center for the compassionate care and support during the past few weeks. Your kindness will always be remembered.
