Deborah (Debi) M. Erhardt, age 60, passed away after a 25-day battle with COVID 19, on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at Aurora Hospital in Kenosha, WI.  Debi was born in Racine, Wisconsin on March 10th, 1960 to Lloyd T Seidel Jr and the late Sharon J Seidel (Nee: Christensen).

Debi was a very loving and caring person with a huge heart. Anyone who knew Debi knew that she always had a glow to her face and a twinkle in her eye.  Debi enjoyed being outside, planting flowers in her garden, spending time with her family, and close friends. She especially enjoyed time spent with her children and grandchildren.  Her favorite place to visit, were the beaches of Florida.  Some of her best memories were of her many trips to the Gulf Coast of Florida.  She especially loved walking on the beach collecting seashells.  She enjoyed the warm heat and sunshine that the Gulf Coast offered.  Debi also enjoyed an occasional trip to the local Casino and liked to play the slot machines.

Debi is survived by her children Jacob P. Erhardt, Melissa M. Erhardt, and Nathan C. Erhardt and by her granddaughters, Kayla N. Erhardt and Sophia G. Cotton as well as her dear friend (former husband) Doug C. Erhardt.

She is further survived by her father Lloyd T Seidel Jr. and brother Tom (Theresa) Seidel. Other survivors include many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.  Debi was proceeded in death by her mother Sharon J. Seidel, in December 2016.

A Celebration of Life will be planned for Debi, at a later date, when we can all gather safely.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to Debi’s children are appreciated. Memorials may be sent to the funeral home.

My dearest Nathan , Jacob, and Melissa and granddaughters there are no words or card that can comfort you @ this time. I’m so sorry for all of your loss Nathan Debbie was yourstepmother but I can tell you she loved you like her own many memories of you growing up that were really cute and funny she told me you had a special word for popcorn. Many fond memeories . Jacob you were your Mothers son for sure she always said “Jacob walks just like me ” she loved spending nights @ your house dog sitting when youd go on your trips she was very proud of you and your home. Melissa your mother loved you very much as well as Sophia and Kayla. Your mother and I rekindled our friendship we knew each other when we were young she lived across from my relatives the CRUZ’S. These last two years were very special we would stay up late and watch movies talk about memories that she wanted to share with me. She was very grateful I was able to help take care of her last summer. I don’t understand why she left us so soon but it was God’s will I will say this that your mother isn’t suffering anymore. Debbie will always be with you all in spirit and Doug I’m so sorry for your grief Debbie Will forever be grateful for these two years. Lots of great memories to cherish like when she would shop till she dropped and then calling for help to unload the vechicle there we’de go all out to unload she always bought a little something for everyone these are memories that will keep her alive in your hearts and help you all heal along with the grace of the of the Lord . I love you all so much I could never take your mother’s place but if you need anything I’m here for you all. May the Lord give you all peace and rest I pray in his precious name Amen

    Melissa
I can’t imagine what you feeling your mother loved you very much she had so many memories of you when you were a little I know that you spend the most time with her helping her bathe and making sure to check her sugars and giving her the proper medications organizing her room along with many other things that were very important to her health needs. Debbie was very grateful for all of that she always wanted you to lean recipes that she cooked that belonged to your grand mother and you did ! I was very impressed when I seen you make the poppy seed salad and the corn casserole because I know those where your mothers favorite along with many more I hope and pray that you will find peace with all the memories of your mother that you’ve created together especially these last two years I’m proud of you because you because you never gave up and along with taking care of Sophia your mother wanted the best for you and all of this has made you a better stronger woman I hope you continue to keep your mother’s wishes and dreams alive she always said I just want my daughter to have a good life and become a what ever she wants “Melissa is very smart she can become what ever she put her mind to” your mother would say, she loved you very, and she adored Sophia she always laughed at all the thing Sophia would say and do. All of these memories are the best that a daughter could ever have I hope that God give you peace of mind and helps you to create memories with Sophia I’ll never take your mother’s place even though you’ve called me mom for many years. I want you to know I’ll always be there for you and Sophia. I love you both very much and I pray that you will find peace in your heart and make your mother proud she will always be with you and Sophia. May God protect you and guide you thru the rest of your journey and help you heal in his precious name I pray God Bless you and Sophia and keep you both safe Amen.

Testimonials

May 25, 2021

My family wants to thank you and your team for all that you did to walk along side us in my mom’s death and celebration of life. You all did an amazing job with such care, concern of details, and sensitivity to our family. I know my moms body was treated respectfully in your care and that meant the world to us to have confidence in that.
