Mount Pleasant – Dennis Edward Kerkowski, 72, received the promise of eternal life on Monday, July 29, 2019.  He was born in Cicero, IL, on March 1, 1947, son of Edward and Anna (Née: Kovacevich) Kerkowski.

Dennis was a genius floral designer.  He worked for many shops in the Racine area as well as in California.  He was a floral designer for the stars and even worked on Rose Bowl Parade floats.

Dennis leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Anna Kerkowski; brother, Wayne (Victoria) Kerkowski, Sr.; niece, Melissa (Randy) Jansen; nephew, Wayne Kerkowski, Jr.; great-niece, Amanda (Derek) Quella; other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

Dennis is preceded in death by his father, Edward Frank Kerkowski.

A celebration of Dennis’ life will be held on Monday, August 12, 2019, 5:00pm, at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory, 4600 County Line Road.  Visitation will be from 3:00pm until the time of the service.

The family would like to say “Thank You” to Jenny, Sarah, and the rest of the staff at the Ascension-All Saints ICU.  A special “Thank You” goes to Lisa Walker-House from Marsha Adult Family Home.  Lisa took care of Dennis for the last seven years and he loved her very much.

Testimonials

January 26, 2024

Special thanks to Mike Langendorf….many tears of joy overwhelm the family. You are a very unique person.  I cry because you know how to make the best out of any situation. You lay my husband away beautifully and there are not words that I can really express how grateful I am. All the people at your funeral have my gratitude for the love and care you showed us.   You all are truly God fearing people who care about people.  Thanks and may God bless you all richly!   The Coleman’s
