Dewey Lee Bobo

Mar 10, 1956 – Jan 4, 2016

~~   Racine – Dewey Lee Bobo Sr., age 59, passed away quiet and peacefully at his residence on Monday, January 4, 2016.  He was born on March 10, 1956, in Osceola, Arkansas to his mother, Elmer (nee: Bobo) Tyler and Herman Lee Davis. Dewey was blessed to have Henry Tyler Jr as a father for the majority of his life. The family moved to Racine, Wisconsin in 1966.  

Dewey Sr. graduated from Jerome I Case High School on June 9, 1974.  Following high school he worked at Western publishing for over 25 years as a Pressman.   For the past 13 years he was employed by In-Sink-Erator.  Dewey Sr. played softball in his early years; he also enjoyed bowling and shooting darts.  He was a diehard PACKER FAN, as well as a CUBS FAN.  He enjoyed having fun with his family, friends and grandkids, especially Na'zyia.  Everybody knew he loved to dance and he was always the life of the party. 

Dewey Sr. was preceded in death by his grandparents; his loving Parents, Henry and Elmer Tyler Jr.; father, Herman Davis; son, Fojuan Bell; sister, Betty Hood; niece, Trudy Hood and nephew, Tony Hood. 

He leaves to cherish his memories,  daughter, Janiqua (Damien) Winston Sr. of Orlando, FL; sons, Dewey (Shakita) Bobo Jr. of Racine, WI,  Marlon (Vivian) Jamison of Glendale Heights, IL; Eight Grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters, Evelyn Smith of  Killeen, TX, Mary (Bill) Bland of Racine, WI, Debbie and Donna Davis of  St. Louis, MO;  brothers, Tommy (Ella) Hill Jr. of Chicago, IL, David (Helen) Tyler, Logan (Avis) Tyler, Andrew (Linda) Tyler all of Racine, WI, Henry (Sherry) Tyler of Hinesville, GA; Special nephew T.C. Davis as well as a many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews and a host of  cousins other relatives and friends. The family would like to give a special thanks to Donna Davis for taking care of their brother and father during his time of illness. 

.   A celebration of Dewey’s life will be held at 11:00am on Monday, January 11th at Jesus Alive Ministries (J.A.M) 3011 Erie St. in Racine.  The visitation will take place from 10:00am until the time of service.  Burial will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park.

    Dewey Jr. and the entire Bobo you all have my deepest sympathy. Dewey Sr. fought a courageous battle but God saw that he was tired and sent down his chariot to carry him on home. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
