Donald K. Lantz

Jan 5, 1938 – Apr 3, 2013

Racine – Donald K. Lantz, 75, was surrounded by his family and friends at home when he passed away April 3, 2013.  He fought a courageous battle against colon cancer for 4 years.  Don was born in Racine on January 5, 1938 to the late Elmer and Viola (nee Glasman) Lantz.

He attended Park High School in Racine.  After 43 years of service, Don retired from Robert Bosch in 2001.  In his retirement, he enjoyed his part time job as maintenance supervisor for Bear Property Management in Kenosha.  Don lived an active life and enjoyed bicycling, dancing, cars and spending time with his many friends.  He dearly loved his grandchildren, Nicholas Lantz, Alexander and Elizabeth Klamm.

Don leaves to cherish his memory, his daughters, Connie (Daryl) Klamm of Racine, Kathleen (David) Sydney of Alexandria, VA; beloved partner of 7 years, Kathleen Hill; his best and most faithful companion, Paxton; brothers, Douglas (Joan) Lantz and Jon (Bert) Lantz; and former wife, Kathleen Lantz.  In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his daughter, Deborah Williams; sister, Nancy Geraghty; brothers, James and Robert Lantz.  We are forever grateful for all of the dear friends who offered tremendous support and friendship to Don throughout the years.

A celebration to honor his life will be held on Sunday, April 7, 2013, 6:00pm, at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory, with Pastor Carol Baumgartner officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00pm until the time of service.
