Doris May Grabher

Oct 1, 1920 – Nov 19, 2010

Racine – Doris M. Grabher, 90, passed away at WFH All Saints Hospital on Friday, November 19, 2010. She was born in Raymond on October 1, 1920, the daughter of the late Wallace and Carrie (nee: Hanson) Hunter. She was a lifetime Racine area resident. On June 29, 1946 she was married to Donald N. Grabher in the Raymond Community Church.

Doris and Don owned and operated Grabher Heating and Air-conditioning Company, retiring in 1983 after they sold their business.  She was a member of the Community Church of the Nazarene. Doris was avidly anticipating the birth of her 5thgreat-grandchild.

She is survived by her children, David (Balbina) Grabher currently living in Portugal, and Susan (Bradley) Basham of Normal, Illinois; grandchildren, Nathan (Rochelle) Grabher, Joel Grabher, Brandon Basham, Trevor Basham, Ricardo (Marji) Dantas, and Katherine Grabher;  great grandchildren Victoria, Joshua, Cadence, and Natalie; sister-in-law, Janet Kellogg; brothers-in-law, Eugene Dexter, and Lloyd Kilman; special nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her husband, 5 sisters, and 3 brothers.

Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 with Pastor Jon Nelson officiating. Private interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will begin in the funeral home at 10a.m. Memorials to the Community Church of the Nazarene have been suggested.
