
Dorothy L. Price was called Home by her loving Savior on Friday, October 12, 2012. She was born in Oxford, MS on October 25, 1938, the daughter of the late Fon and Orene (nee: Carothers) Rockette.
On December 22, 1962, she was united in marriage to Moses Price, who preceded her in death on November 13, 2010. Mrs. Price devoted her life to raising her family. She loved going to church and shopping. Mrs. Price was an active member of Midtown Church of Christ.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Bridget Price, sons, Kenny (LaChere) Price, and George Rockette all of Racine; step-daughter Bobbie Jean Barry, of Myrtle, MS; grandchildren, Dontre McGrone Jr., Davonta Booker, Danny (Tiffany) Nelson, Cassandra (Terry) White, Tabithia Barry, and Billy Barry; great grandchildren; sisters, Betty (Jacob) Lott, Lula Mae Turner, and Ruby Moore; brothers, John (Louise) Rockette, Jerry (Wanda) Rockette,; sister-in-law, Latrice Rockette; brothers-in-law, David (Sudie) Price, James Price, and Joe Price. Mrs. Price is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her loving husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Eula Martin, brothers, Jack Rockette, and Joe Lee Rockette, brothers-in-law, Earl Turner, and Sammie Price, as well as her sister-in-law Pearlene Price.
Her Homegoing Service will be held in the Midtown Church of Christ, 1704-13th St, at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, October 19th, with Rev. Perry Pitman officiating.
Visitation will be in the church on Friday, from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park.
