
Racine – Earline P. Norman, better known to family and friends as “Pinkie” or “Aunt Pankie”, was born on October 25, 1938, in Okolona, MS. She went to be with the Lord on February 10, 2012, at the age of 73. She resided in Racine for 52 years. She was United in Marriage to Hazell Norman on November 10, 1962.
Earline was a hard worker; employed for thirteen years at St. Mary’s Hospital and various local factories. She last worked at Racine Steel Casting for twenty years until her health failed in 1996. Earline was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be sadly missed by a host of relatives and friends.
Earline leaves to cherish her memories, her loving husband of over 49 years, Hazell Norman; daughter, Vickie (Benjamin) Doss of Racine; sons, Hayes (Polly) Norman of Nashville, TN, Alvis Norman of LaCresent, MN, Hayward Norman of St. Paul, MN; Earline’s joy of her life, her grandson with whom she shares the same birthday, Tony R. Epps, Jr. of Racine; great-grandsons, Marquise and Maurice Epps, both of Racine; grandchildren, Orlando Doss of Racine, Nneka Norman-Gordon of Clarksdale, TN, Sara Norman-Luckeman of Colorado Springs, CO, Abbrissa (Abbey) Norman-Skull of Louisville, KY, Tara Norman of Minnesota, Nicole Norman of Wisconsin, her “other daughter”, Barbara Gail (Dontae) McGee, Sheena Ackey, Darrias Lewis, all of Racine, Takiyah Devall of Boynton Beach, FL; sisters, Denise Larry-Lampkin of Milwaukee, and Ella Richardson of Racine. Earline is preceded in death by her father, Willie Lee Larry; mother, Lucille Azzie B. (nee: Williams) Larry; sisters, Claudine Gunn, Ruthie Larry; brothers, Willie Frank Larry, George Larry, and Jackie Dean Larry.
A Homegoing Celebration for Earline will take place on Saturday, February 18, 2012, 11am, at Greater Grace Temple, 522 N. Memorial Drive, with Rev. Willie Riley officiating. Visitation will be from 10am until the time of the service. Burial will take place at Graceland Cemetery on Monday, February 20, 2012, 10am.
The family would like to extend a Thank You to the staffs at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare – All Saints and the Lincoln Village Nursing Home for the love and care they gave to Earline during her time of illness.
